Tuesday November 28th, 2000 Clark opened the front door of his townhouse into the cold November day. "Stanley! I'm surprised to see you here," he said motioning for the older man to come inside. "Glad you're here. I just had something I wanted to talk to you about," Stanley said. "Anytime," Clark said. "Are you alone?" Stanley asked. "Yeah" "Be right back"; Stanley said holding up one finger to his waiting limo driver as he walked through the door into Clark's living room. "I'll take your coat," Clark said pulling the door closed behind Stanley. "No. I can't stay but a minute," he said walking over to the sofa and taking a seat. "Is there anything wrong?" Clark asked. "Did you hire an assistant?" "I did but I let her go during the party", Clark said. "Why?" "I caught her in the pantry of the kitchen with the celebrity chef." "Really. I didn't hear that. Who was she, do I know her?" Stanley asked thinking he might have missed out with this woman. "No. An agency sent her. She only worked a couple of days and then that happened. I'm actively looking though. There are a lot of parties over the holidays and I really need help," Clark said. "I can't tell you how to run your business Clark, but Tiffany was good." "She was good, but that whole thing with Skeeter her ex-husband and the shooting, it really made it hard," Clark said defensively. "Yeah, but her husband was cleared of those charges. He was at the party didn't you see him?" "Yeah, he's working for one of the lingerie stores in the spa. That's got to make Amir nervous," Clark said. "I'm not sure Amir has paid much attention to that. He's been so busy with the opening of his spa and this sick wife back home in his country." "That was totally shocking." "Yeah for me too. Jan didn't even know about his wife. I guess she had been in a coma so long, he thought of her as dead," Stanley said. "I can understand that. I just wonder if having Skeeter around isn't going to be uncomfortable for Amir. And how did that redneck get a job in the spa to begin with?" Clark asked shaking his head in amazement. "I don't know. No one seems to know how that happened. But back to my point…I don't think it's fair that you punish Tiffany because of her estranged husband", Stanley said. "It's not just about Skeeter. It's the rumor's of her and Amir that really got on my nerves." "She's not seeing Amir. Amir and Jan are a couple. I mean Amir was at the party with the Princess but that was all arranged. "Jan told you that?" "Yeah. Jan said Amir's PR firm arranged it to raise his international status since the news of his wife hit the press." "Jan didn't mind?" "No. Jan's like her old man, she can handle more than one thing at a time. She's been preoccupied lately anyway," he said laughing. "But Jan wanted me to fire Tiffany", Clark said. "But this is one of those times that Jan can't have what she wants." "If you don't mind me asking Stanley…. Why would you care?" "Tiffany's a good looking woman." "But you and Laney?" "Like I said, I can handle more than one thing at a time. Besides Laney likes Tiffany. When she found out Tiffany was unemployed and broke, she asked her to move in with her. I can't have the two women living together. It would cramp my style…know what I mean?" he said hitting Clark on the shoulders and standing to leave. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE PHOTOS BELOW.
