Tuesday October 24th, 2000 "How can you possibly explain away having a wife and not telling me," Tiffany sobbed into the phone. "I plan to tell you many time", Amir said in his broken English, realizing that he had put this talk off way too long now. "Oh. You're a married man, but you forgot to tell me. That's just great Amir. I can't believe this. I'm living in your apartment that I can't possibly afford to pay for on my own. I lost my job over seeing you and you planned to tell me!" she cried. "I am sorry this cause you pain. She have no life. She stay in coma for many years. I explain when I get home to states, then you understand," he said. "No. I don't need you to explain. I understand. You're just like Skeeter. I've managed to find another cheating man," she said slamming down the phone. The tears rolled down her cheeks as her body shook with sobs. She finally managed to quit crying long enough to reach for a tissue on the table beside the sofa. This was too much she thought wiping her face very hard as if hoping to wipe herself away. She didn't have a job, a home, and she was a fool, again. She wondered how this could have happened to her. The ringing of the phone interrupted her worry. She thought it might be Amir calling back and she realized she needed to compose herself and try to hear him out this time. "Hello," she said. "Tiffany. It no sound like you," Amir's bodyguard, Abdul said in his broken English. "I just talked to Amir," she said sniffling into the phone. "Yes. I speak also to him. He tell me this report to be true", he said knowing this wasn't the report she had hoped when she phoned him yesterday hoping to find out that he knew this to be only a rumor. Being Amir's bodyguard obviously didn't mean he knew much about his wealthy employer's personal life. "I know he just called me. I can't believe he wouldn't tell me something like this," she said still in shock. "His wife very ill, he mean to tell you," he said hoping to ease her pain. "If his wife is that ill why wasn't he there with her all along instead of here?" she snapped. "This I have no answer. He only tell me that he make everyone understand when he come home." "I don't ever want to see him again," she said. "You give him chance to explain, no?" "No. He's married. That' s all I need to know. I never should have been with him. I shouldn't be here now. I wouldn't have lost my job if it weren't for him," she said crying uncontrollably into the phone. "I believe Amir good man. I think he explain. His wife very ill," he repeated. "Good man. Good married man. A married man cheating on his sick wife. He made a fool of me." "He love you very much, this he say to me," Abdul said. "No. I don't believe that. I don't believe that for one minute. I never want to see him again." "What can I say. I know he love you. He tell me this. Amir is not kind of how you say…playboy," he said hoping this was true for Tiffany's sake. "Then why? Why did this happen. He should have at least told me and given me the opportunity to decide if I wanted to be with him or not," she said. "I believe he explain this when he come home." "I won't be here." "Where you go?" "I'll move out of this apartment." "Where you move?" "I don't know yet." "You have to find place, no?" "If I don't then I'll go home to Georgia. I don't have anything here anymore anyway," she said crying into the phone. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE PHOTOS BELOW.
