Monday October 2nd, 2000 "Have you ever done a job description Tiffany?" Jan asked standing over Tiffany's desk looking down at her as she put on her coat to leave. "Yes," Tiffany said. "Where? At that job you had in the garment factory in Georgia?" Jan asked smiling. "Matter of fact that is where I did the last job description Jan." "Is that the only job you ever had before this one?" "Yeah". "That's what I thought. Did you go to college?" "No", Tiffany answered feeling Jan's questions were totally out of line. "I'll fax you over a sample job description. Maybe that will help. I have to run. My date gets impatient when I'm late", Jan said turning and walking to the front door. Tiffany watched her close the door. She wished so much that Clark understood how rude and mean Jan was to her. If he did surely he wouldn't leave her alone with her. Jan probably gave him the idea of making her do the job description. She thought about the phone call Jan had made while she was sitting beside her desk earlier today. She suspected that perhaps Jan Morgan was seeing her estranged husband Skeeter. She had her first suspicions when she walked by Skeeter's apartment building and thought she saw Jan in the bedroom window. Then today on the phone Jan had said 'I love it when you call me Baby'. Only Skeeter called every woman he went to bed with Baby. She could feel her blood start to boil just thinking that this was a possibility. She picked up the phone and dialed the number at Skeeter's apartment. She listened as the phone rang three times. She was almost ready to hang up when he picked up the phone. "Hello" "Hi Skeeter," Tiffany said in her most pleasant voice. "Hi Baby how you doing?" Skeeter asked in his slow southern accent. Tiffany bit her lip in an effort not to ask him if he had talked to Jan earlier today. "I thought maybe I'd stop by this afternoon and see you," she said. "Oh yeah. I'm busy this afternoon." "Hot date?" "Business to take care of. You starting to miss me Baby?" "Don't be obnoxious Skeeter." "You're the one that called me. I haven't been bothering you. Have I?" "What have you been doing Skeeter? Have you found a girlfriend?" "What right do you have calling me and asking me that. You're the one shacking up with Mr. Money Bags," Skeeter said as he heard the buzzer ring to the outside door of his building. "Somebody's at the door. I got to go," he said. "I'll hold on, go answer the door," she said. "I got to go. I got a business meeting to go to," he said. "I'm not finished talking to you", "Alright. Hold on", he said putting the phone down on the table as the buzzer sounded repeatedly. Tiffany listened closely and could hear his footsteps as he walked to the buzzer beside the front door. "Who's there?", she heard Skeeter asking into the intercom. "…. Ann" was the muffled sound she heard the woman answer as Skeeter hit the buzzer allowing the woman to enter. Tiffany could feel her heart start to race. That just might have been Jan's voice. If she could keep Skeeter on the phone a little while, she might catch them. She heard the front door to his apartment open and the sound of footsteps. She strained to listen closely at the low voices in the background. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE PHOTOS BELOW.
